Bat in the Sun recently released their latest fan film, Batman: Dying is Easy, which features two respected actors among its cast.
A new Batman fan film features a supporting cast filled with character cast – including sci-fi and crime movie alumni.
Batman: Dying is Easy, developed by father and son duo Sean and Aaron Schoenke, recently aired on the Bat in the Sun YouTube channel. The film, described as “a dark psychological detective story with an almost horror film feel,” features a battle of wits between Batman and the Joker. The Schoenkes also directed the film, with Aaron writing the screenplay and portraying the Clown Prince of Crime in the film.
The film also features cameos by Michael Madsen (pulp Fiction, Tank dogs) and Doug Jones (Hellboy, Star Trek: Discovery). Madsen portrays Detective Harvey Bullock, while Jones has a brief cameo as Riddler. Other cameos include Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) as Commissioner Gordon and musician Chris Daughtry as Hugo Strange. Kevin Porter plays the Dark Knight, reprising his role from previous Bat in the Sun productions.
The Schoenkes had launched an Indiegogo campaign to Batman: Dying is Easy, which raised $ 75,703 in funds for the film. Bat in the Sun has directed other fan films including the Super power beat down series – which pits various pop culture characters against each other.
