Damn it out, Batman!
In the latest installment of “Batman: Urban Legends,” DC comic book character Tim Drake – aka Caped Crusader’s sidekick Robin – accepts an invitation to date a man named Bernard Dowd – thus confirming LGBTQ status. Robin, TMZ reported.
Robin the bisexual story unfolds in what one fan calls a “light bulb moment” as he and Bernard find themselves in a brawl on the street. After the hero finally saves Bernard, Robin later visits him in his apartment.
As Drake, the character can be seen psyche to say hello to Bernard: “It’s okay, Tim. You have this.”

At Bernard’s door, Drake stammers, “I’m really glad you made it home. I was relieved. And I thought a lot about that night. And I – I don’t know what that meant to me. . Not yet. But I would like to understand. “
Bernard replies, “I was hoping you would. Tim Drake… do you want to date me?
“Yeah, I think I want that,” Robin replies – thus concluding the episode until the next one, to come in December.

Fans have long speculated that Robin might be weird, despite dating women in previous iterations. Said such a reader, “It’s crazy, I saw Tim DRAKE come out years ago … kudos to DC for making this a reality.”
In recent times, comics have become more and more representative of the LGBTQ community. In March, Marvel unveiled its first gay Captain America character – an advocate for gay youth named Aaron Fischer – to be included in the upcoming “United States of Captain America” comic book miniseries.
“Aaron is inspired by the heroes of the queer community: activists, leaders and ordinary people who fight for a better life,” creator Aaron Trujillo told Entertainment Weekly at the time of the announcement.

“He represents the oppressed and the forgotten,” added Trujillo. “I hope his first story resonates with readers and helps inspire the next generation of heroes.”
