DUBLIN – Bay Area rapper Lil Yase was the victim of a fatal shooting near BART East Dublin / Pleasanton station early on Saturday, authorities confirmed on Sunday.

The 26-year-old San Francisco artist, real name Alexander Mark Antonyyo Jr., died after being shot on the 5100 block of Iron Horse Parkway on November 28, police said.

Police were first called around 1 a.m. on Saturday at Valley Care Medical Center in Pleasanton with a report of a person who had arrived with multiple gunshot wounds.

Antonyyo Jr. was then taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, where he later succumbed to his injuries, police said.

Although police said they located a “crime scene” near the BART station, no suspects were found.

Authorities said they “continue to process the evidence and follow leads in the homicide investigation,” and have asked anyone with information about the shooting to contact Dublin police.
