Bayonetta 3 continues to be the game that many Nintendo fans are clamoring to learn more about. After more than three years of silence, no major information about the upcoming action game has been released outside of its initial trailer. Fortunately, if all goes well this year, that trend should change.
In a new interview that recently took place, Hideki Kamiya of PlatinumGames spoke Bayonetta 3 a bit and teased fans with it when they could finally find out more. Kamiya was asked about the status of some of Platinum’s current projects, to which he then presented the third installment of the action series. “Well I guess … we worked on new things like Bayonetta 3, not that I can say too much, ”Kamiya said. “But I hope we can give you an update during the year.”
Kamiya went on to say that he also hopes Platinum can let fans know about some unannounced projects the studio has in the works as well. He admitted that he probably shouldn’t even have mentioned that last point, but he threw it out anyway. “The point is, I’m trying to do a lot of things this year,” he explained.
Even though there is still not much to do from here as far as Bayonetta 3It’s at least good to know that the game is reaching a point where Platinum makers are entertaining the idea of showing more to the public. Obviously, developers around the world have surely had a lot more difficulty with their work over the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which may have played a role in why it didn’t. There is still nothing shown from the game recently.
If any updates occur Bayonetta 3, it seems likely we’ll hear more of it in a Nintendo Direct presentation. As of yet, Nintendo has yet to announce its intention to hold any of these showcases in 2021. That said, Nintendo’s last Direct was in October, so we might be online to get one soon.
In the meantime, we will continue to keep you updated on all things Bayonetta 3 here on ComicBook.com. If you would like to continue following our coverage of the game in the future, you can bookmark this page.
