Popeyes' surprisingly popular (and complete) chicken sandwich may soon be competing. No Chick-wire-A, however; McDonald's has embarked on the battle of chicken sandwiches with not one but two new dishes on the menu, offering fans a new sandwich experience.
The spicy BBQ chicken sandwich and frozen entrees are on their way, having been tested in some McDonald's restaurants over the summer. The frozen products are essentially the same as those of McDonald's, the usual butter cookies, except they are prepared in a spicy and sweet barbecue sauce.
Meanwhile, the sandwich counterpart takes up a conventional menu item – the chicken fillet – splashing the delicious sauce under the onions and silver pickles. Fast food connoisseurs noted similarities with McDonald's sandwich Hot 'N Spicy McChicken, which had been discontinued in 2013, with the exception of this offer offered as soon as the chicken sandwich fever reaches its peak .
McDonald's is expected to launch the two new menu items in America on September 11th.
More recently, a Tennessee resident claimed $ 5,000 in damages after selling the Popeyes chicken sandwich.
