The film explains how the Beastie Boys went from a traditional recording studio to their own space, which functioned as a creative clubhouse. It's the environment that gave birth Bad communication. Surviving members Adam Horovitz and Mike Diamond sat this year at the SXSW for an interview with the doc. The latter also includes separate interviews with producer Mario Caldato Jr. and keyboardist "Money Mark" Nishita. Images of the great concerts of the time, including the Tibetan Freedom Concert and Lollapalooza, were also shot.
