Beck Bennett Won’t Spit Down Kyle Mooney’s Throat Again Where appearing with him on SNL. The show revealed its departure from the cast in a September 27 press release that also announced the addition of three new star players, as well as the departure of star player Lauren Holt, who had just joined the show l ‘last year. Although the news is a surprise, it is also not a surprise surprise. Bennett is one of those SNL cast members who now live in Los Angeles. It’s safe to say he’s probably looking to spend more time in his hometown, which, again, is Los Angeles. A place that is a good six hours by plane from New York, with a three hour time difference to boot. We will miss him a lot, but we don’t even want to think about what his Bon Voisin teammate and SNL Teammate Mooney is going through right now in terms of sadness.
Bennett also announced the departure in a sad Instagram post (sadstagram), in which he says being on the show “completely changed my life”:
