On the night of July 5, 62 people returned to their homeland. Some tourists have had accommodation problems: hotel bookings were not paid
– As explained at the meeting of the director of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism of Belarus, Olga Vyshinskaya all possible measures are taken to bring tourists back to their homeland. Director of the Republican Union of Tourism Organizations Valentin Tsekhmeister. – Now (July 5th – Ed.) In Spain, there are 89 Belarusian tourists. There are problems, because hotels and hotels do not deal with partners, but with customers, asking them for money for accommodation. And the person is obliged to go home or pay for the hotel again. In general, problems are solved calmly.
Then there were other exciting news from the company: "Natalie Tours" cancels all tours in all directions from July 4 to September 30, 2018 inclusive, the decision [19659006] "unfavorable development of the situation with the hosting partners". The Belarussian representative office of the company has sold 400 towers for this period. Now, tourists should either give back money for a missed vacation, or offer another tour
– In connection with the charter problem, people refuse to replace the tours, demanding a monetary compensation. And we are talking about tens of thousands of euros! – continues Valentin Tsekhmeyster. – The compensation process will be conducted according to the procedure established by law. The tourist must contact the place of purchase of the tour, ask to terminate the contract and return the funds. How long it will last depends on many circumstances. In this case, those who have bought a tour in Belarusian travel agencies are protected by our legislation. It is more difficult for those who have applied directly to the Russian representative office of "Natalie Tours" or purchased a ticket from questionable agents. In this case, the return of funds is more problematic and occurs in court.
The cancellation of the "Natalie Tours" tours is reflected in the Belarusian tourist services market.
– The credibility of the domestic tourist business is undermined. Belarusian travel agencies are sometimes reluctant to implement another product, explains Valentin Tsekhmeyster. – They easily sign contracts and fall into a certain dependence vis-à-vis the Russian tour operators. According to our legislation, the travel agency has the same responsibility as the tour operator, and tourists ask for compensation for a travel agent who does not have a lot of money.
