Ministry of Transportation tested road service facilities

Indeed, in recent years, many modern multifunctional complexes have appeared on Belarussian roads. Here you can fill a car, go shopping, and have dinner, and here and there and spend the night. For individual travelers, this is enough. However, in the case of group tourism, which is gaining popularity, the acceptable quality of speech services, alas, does not come yet.

An image of life. Morning One of the service stations of the M-5 motorway, near Osipovichi, is approached by a tourist bus. While it is refueling, about fifty pbadengers rush into the trading room and into the toilet. These are located both in the gas station building and in a separate building. It's clear – the queue. And all would be nothing if the second, third, fourth bus did not arrive at the same gas station with an interval of five-seven minutes. And now there is a problem : a multifunctional complex simply can not cope with such an influx of transients. Tourists are unhappy, the staff at the gas station is nervous. They do not have to choose between losing time in the queue or looking for another refueling.

Similar situations this summer are not uncommon in suburban service stations, chosen by tour operators and minibus owners for sanitary stops. For example, the southeast of Minsk – this is the object mentioned above in Osipovichi and the petrol stations. Not far from Mozyr, on the Minsk – Vitebsk – complex near Begoml and Lepel. For the time being, the situation was under control: the owners of roadside installations were receiving additional revenue, an acceptable service for pbadengers. But as soon as, for example, the flow of tourists in the Ukrainian direction has increased several times, it became clear that the capabilities of a number of existing service stations were sorely lacking.

A sanitary problem was part of the recently opened service station network. objects toilets toilets. Representatives of the company last year insured indignant customers: in addition to a paying institution, there is a free gas station. The logic of the company is clear: the rapid maintenance of large groups of customers requires additional costs, and if we want clean and tidy sanitary, we need funds for their maintenance. It is now necessary to identify the transport, tourism and petroleum sectors: where is it most profitable for all interested parties to place high traffic roadside facilities? And it would be better to find a solution quickly: in 2019 in Minsk there will be II European games, I would not spoil the impression of the fans of .

Food on the side of the road is a separate issue. The owners of the facilities have long understood that making money to sell coffee is profitable and that with the purchase of a drink at the gas station, it does not make money. no problem. It remains to decide the problem with snacks. Sealed sandwiches and semi-finished products at an inadequate price are unhappy. A good solution has been found by one of the companies: she began the introduction of a new format of filling stations – with mini-restaurants, where l & 39; emphasis is placed on traditional and simple dishes. However, such institutions, alas, are not enough. In many countries, they have long opened bookstores at the gas station, several fast-food restaurants, children's areas … It would probably be time for our road service to catch up to world standards by making the level of services unacceptable, and really modern.
