It became known which company will build the arena of Chisinau

CHISINAU, July 14 – Sputnik. Building a stadium "Arena Chisinau" will be a Turkish company. Such a decision was taken as a result of the results of the contest, said the representatives of the Moldovan state structures at a briefing on Friday evening

Only one proposal was submitted for the contest, from part of the Turkish company Summa. She also received the right to carry out design and construction work. It is expected that work will begin at the end of the month of August.

According to the Minister of Education, Culture and Research, Monica Babuk, the Turkish company has completed three projects worth 30 million euros. As part of the public-private partnership the company is engaged in the construction of sports facilities. Minister of the Economy and Infrastructure Kirill Gaburich said that at this point it is necessary to start the preparation and alignment of the construction site, as well as to obtain the authorizations needed to start construction. According to the minister, this project is important not only for Chisinau, but for residents across the country. According to Gaburich, building the arena will give a powerful boost to tourism development.
