The cold Volgograd embankment will remain behind the fence

The first to wait for the reconstruction of propylaea and rotundas. Now, remove the granite steps from the central staircase of the embankment. Each of them is numbered so that no one is lost. And the plates got closer when they were relaxed. Under the steps, a new foundation of modern materials will be developed. Previously done in 1953, it requires a renewal. Once again, they will dress in the woods and propylaea. They will be painted.

Rotunda, who because of inclined ground movements of 17 centimeters to the lower terrace of the embankment, no longer threatens to hit the heads of pbadersby. It was securely fixed. Under the structure, the foundation has been strengthened. Inside, they pumped a hundred cubes of concrete and laid a pile of reinforcement. Thus, the thin columns will be a favorite spot for photo shoots of Volgograd residents and guests of the city for many years to come.

Also replaced a retaining wall at the rotunda and a new molding of the balustrade. The work here is already at the final stage. The reconstruction was carried out by 90%. Steps in the stairs near the rotunda have also been dismantled, numbered and scraped with sand. Something required chemical treatment. Remove the top layer of granite, literally a millimeter. And the updated granite slabs have already been returned.

Embankment repairs should be completed before cold weather.
