– It was very difficult. Everyone saw how long I waited and shot with the final statement. All because I have until the last tried to find a compromise by combining the professional activities of the athlete and the mother. Unfortunately, I have not found a solution that would allow me to continue to practice at a high level of sport and spend enough time with my daughter. Right now, she needs me a lot, and no one can compensate for this time. There is a huge difference in the combination of education and sports routines when a child is up to about a year old and when the age is approaching two years old. After the birth of Ksyusha, I managed to build my schedule so that the training was just for the baby's sleep, and all the time we spent together, playing, eating and we rest. It's much easier to do when a child sleeps five, then three and twice a day. My daughter is growing up, today in the Xenin calendar, a day of sleep, which would be on my lunch break and the interval between workouts, – quotes the athlete from the fashion collection. – that is, considering that the work of a professional biathlete starts around 7am – 8am and finishes around 9pm, I would see my daughter practically only at the time. time she sleeps. It would be a huge torment for me and for her. It is not a fact that in such a context, it would be possible to show the desired results at competitions. It was very difficult to decide on this step, but it is the sporting life: sooner or later we must prioritize and make choices. Now, I am happy to see that my daughter is not lacking in attention.

Domracheva, 31, is four-time Olympic champion, two-time world champion and European champion, winner of the Compensation for the World Cup.
