Ari applied for Russian citizenship in July 2017. According to the rules of the International Football Federation, to change sports citizenship, a player who has no parents (father, mother, grandmother, grandfather father) of the country for which he wants to compete must live there for at least five years. Ari was in Russia for eight years, from 2010 to 2013, he played for Spartak, then moved to Krasnodar. The last two years, the footballer has spent in the "locomotive" of Moscow, with which he won the Russian Cup and became the champion of the country.

Today, I obtained citizenship of the Russian Federation. I am very happy, because I played long enough in Russia. I've been there for a long time, of course, it is too early to talk about the national team, but I hope to soon play for the Russian national team.
