Guberniev – about Gamow and Musersky. He understands them – World Cup – Football

– Gamow and Musersky said the ZMS title for them was depreciated after they were awarded players for the quarter-finals. How do you feel about this?

– The guys showed a lot of sports how really would fight for themselves, for the country. Formally, they did not achieve the result, which would allow them to become well-deserved masters of the sport. But there is an important footnote – for the merits, for the extension. Given the competition in football, since no sport can drive millions of people into the street, everything has been done properly and normally

– Do you understand the discontent of volleyball players?

– I also understand Gamow's feelings. Indeed, when your teammates are not badigned to the ZMS, when many athletes wait their time and sometimes do not even wait – I know the names … So now, watching the footballers, the country's sports leaders must look back – who played and who was not appropriate? Perhaps, this is especially true for the football veterans, who have been the winners of the 80-Olympics, but they are not ZMCs. Or the winners of the 72nd or 76th year – so they gave it to MSMK. If we want to become a real football country, we should pay attention to the veterans, think about the conditions under which the children are currently training, the salaries of the coaches. I congratulate our players, many of these titles have already been – and for victories in European competition, and for the bronze medals of the Euro. Now, hope that our well-deserved footballers will continue to play really and famously and to call an entire country.

– You talked about Gamow, but Musersky spoke louder. He believes that the players have a special attitude, they were awarded only for the eighth place.

– We always have a special attitude towards football players. We have seen that no sport can change the nation that way. Not one! This only applies to football. I mean that in volleyball, we have a great team that will soon go to the World Cup. She has already won the prestigious tournament of the League of Nations, we will, of course, root for children!

– There are now wage talks, and so on, says Guberniev. – It seems to me that in vain the sportsmen are confronted with this endless discussion about wages in football. Wages in football are high, should and should be like that. Of course, for some players, the title of ZMS is an advance. But yesterday I led the evening "Russia in my heart", I contacted Dzyuba. The man in general in a different way began to look at life after the World Cup, became different – and it is wonderful! Of course, times have changed – now this is not the Soviet Union. Indeed, an exception has been made for players, and the exception is nice. But I want to say that I understand the feelings of Gamow and Musersky. On the other hand, when our famous volleyball player writes that all the attention has been paid to the players in the evening, this is not the case! Personally, I said just a million phrases about volleyball, the whole region we supported them. We thank our players and support our volleyball players. In order that they do not repeat, God forbid, the success in the quarterfinals of our football, but have far exceeded and won the gold prices. The men's volleyball team is number one now in the country!
