In the Volgograd region, for the first time in many years, a breeding complex

The new production is designed for 2500 thousand heads. Complexes of this size and the level of tasks to be solved have not been created in the region since the Soviet era.

"It is an ambitious project designed for the long-term and necessary perspective for the Volgograd region and its inhabitants." Andrei Bocharov stressed that the region's self-sufficiency with this type of agricultural products is currently 64%.

The governor noted that to solve the problem of 100% satisfaction of the needs of the population in milk, it is necessary to solve it in the complex.It is impossible to develop milk production without a qualitative and quantitative forage base, and it can only be created in our conditions with the development of land improvement and irrigation

. In 2013, the area of ​​irrigated land was 33,700 hectares. In 2017 – almost 50 thousand hectares. More than 9,000 hectares were introduced in 2017, when the Volgograd region was included in the pilot project. The state support volume of agricultural producers, implementing projects in the field of land reclamation, is increased almost 10 times. These rates became possible thanks to the support of President Vladimir Putin, as well as the systemic constructive work of the local authorities. The region interacts effectively with the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, other relevant ministries; participates in government programs. APK is a priority for the long-term development strategy of the Volgograd region, appointed by the Governor in 2014.

The development of agro-industrial complex has become one of the main priorities of Andrei Bocharov since the first days of his term. Now, four years later, we can talk about decisive results in the field of agricultural production. The agrarians of the area, however, are not going to calm down on what they've achieved.

During a working visit to the Aksayskoye site in the Oktyabrsky district on July 11, Andrei Bocharov pointed out that the region was to form a long-term program for the development of the complex agribusiness. To do this, the base farms in the Volgograd region will hold long meetings with industry workers, decisions will be made taking into account the proposals made to them. Today, such a meeting will be held on the basis of the joint venture "Donskoe".
