SCS will complete repairs of the first generator set at CHPP-5 in Novosibirsk by October

The preparatory stage of the review began on July 17 – the electrical industry opened the turbine to detect defects and damage. The defect will take about 20 days, so the specialists will begin to repair and replace the worn parts.

"The first production unit of CHPP-5 should be commissioned on 1 October". is held on average every five years. The cost of overhauling the boiler, turbine and generator of the plant will be 70 million rubles.

Six power units are installed at CHPP-5, three of which are currently used to provide hot water to consumers. The repair of the first power unit will not affect hot water supply and, subsequently, heating, the company notes.

CHPP-5 is one of the four thermal power plants of Novosibirsk and one of the largest thermal power plants of Russia. The installed electrical capacity of the plant is 1200 MW. The total installed thermal capacity is 2730 Gcal / h.
