The veterinary drugs market is regulated by the new law

The rules define the conditions and procedure for the registration, production, import, storage, distribution and release of veterinary drugs. Thus, this document is a complete and unified normative act.

At the same time, the obligations of the competent authorities to ensure compliance with the legal provisions are specified.

The document also governs veterinary health regulations for the circulation of veterinary drugs. means, requirements for their production and importation, requirements and instructions for labeling, pharmacovigilance program etc.

The new rules will harmonize national legislation with European legislation in this area and, thus, remove technical barriers to free trade between states. At the same time, animal health and public health will be protected.

The law, which aims to provide the veterinary pharmaceutical market with effective, safe and quality medicines, will come into force six months after the date of publication.
