Up to now, not 500: Belarusian wages in June increased

MINSK, July 24 – Sputnik. The average salary in Belarus rose slightly in June, the National Statistics Committee reported on Tuesday.

According to the Committee, the average cumulative wages of Belarusian workers in June this year amounted to 953.7 rubles (slightly less than 480 US dollars). Last month, Belarusians earned 9.8 rubles less – 943.9 rubles

Last month, wages rose 2.5%, in June, compatriots' income increased only from 1%.

December last year, but in January and February 2018, Belarusians began to earn less. The situation began to improve in March and May – citizens' salaries increased slightly.

The other day real wages in the republic were estimated by experts of the Russian Higher School of Economics in the report "Transnational comparisons of wages in 2011-2017". According to badysts, the profits in Belarus exceed those of Russia and other CIS countries: they estimated the real wages of residents of a number of countries – how much they can buy, considering the average income.
