In the Volgograd region, harvesting of winter cereals is continuing. According to the regional committee of agriculture, Volgograd farmers harvested 1.83 million tonnes of cereals, covering the region's demand of 1.5 million tonnes.

Simultaneously with harvesting winter crops agricultural producers from ten districts – Kalachevsky, Kletsky, Kotelnikovsky, Oktyabrsky, Sredneakhtubinski, Surovikinsky, Chernyshkovsky, Nekhaevsky, Pallasovsky, Staropoltavsky – began harvesting spring cereals and oilseeds.

The tasks for the success of the suffering and the further development of the agro-industrial complex were discussed at a recent meeting of Governor Andrei Bocharov with agrarians in the Oktyabrsky district. One of them is the improvement of the quality of cereals.
As stated in the oblkoselhoz, according to the targets set, this year at least 50% of the grain should match the third clbad (in 2017 this figure was 33%). At present, 80% of the crop studied belongs to the food clbad, of which the third is already 45%.
