In the NHL this summer, the big stars of our league are gone – Ilya Kovalchuk has already signed a contract with Los Angeles, Vyacheslav Voinov is trying to get the right to play again in the NHL. Nichushkin, Samsonov, Yakovlev and others are gone, but there are those who come back. Someone in America was unlucky, someone must start his career again, and someone is simply more enjoyable to be at home.

Nail Yakupov (SKA), 24 years old

How he played abroad Nizhnekamsk, originally from Nizhnekamsk, went to North America at the age of 17 and was immediately turned his head by tapping the first season in the 101 points of the Ontario League in 65 games. He was delightful for the junior team, then for the youth team, and in 2012 he was drafted by Edmonton under the first issue

How are Yakupova things in the NHL? , Everybody knows it. The start season for him began with a lockout, so he managed to play six months for his native "Neftekhimik" and napitanit in the national team at the MCHM. In the oil industry, Yakupov started health (31 points in 48 games), but in the end he could not reveal his potential.

Why did he come back? An unimportant game about defensive, often changing coaches – all this led to the fact that Yakupov was first given to "St. Louis", and the last year that he spent in "Colorado" on a very small contract. In SKA, Yakupov can revive his career and regain his confidence.

Andrei Mironov (Dynamo), 23 years old

How he played abroad. Last spring, Mironov ended his contract with Dynamo and went on to realize his dream by signing a two-year deal with Colorado. He made his debut for "the avalanche" in the opening match, but then for a long time hit the bench. As a result, Andrei was sent to the American League for a game-playing game, raised and lowered, brimming with promises.

Why did he come back? Mironov could not stand and in early March, broke the contract with the "Colorado", do not finish the season. He believes himself that he will not be allowed to play in any case and to vegetate in the lower league and he does not want to continue. In May, he returned to his home team

Victor Antipin ("Metallurg"), 25 years old

How he played abroad. Antipin was probably not supposed to become his Provorov for the Buffalo, although he was one of the chiefs of defense at Magnitogorsk. Victor became the defender of the third pair, which at the beginning of the season has not always been in alignment. In addition, in December, he became ill, lost weight and forcibly missed a few more meetings. Nevertheless, Victor was never sent to Farm Club, and his play causes no criticism.

At the end of the season, things seemed to be going well with him, he was more confident, but the end of the season was marked by a concussion

Why did he come back? In the summer, Buffalo did not offer a new contract to Viktor, and he decided to return to Magnitogorsk. In the KHL, he can once again be one of the leaders of the defense, not a defender, who eats holes in training. By the way, in the middle of the season, another defender – Alexei Bereglazov – returned to Magnitogorsk. First on loan, and in the spring he finally broke the contract with the Rangers.

Nikolai Kulemin (Metallurg), 31 years old

How he played abroad. There were times when Kulemin was a brilliant front and a sharp sniper. In the NHL, he started in the "Toronto" during the 2008-2009 season and in the beginning, everything went well too – in 2011, Nicholas, the first and last time in the career overseas has reached the mark of 30 goals. Then there was a contract with the Islanders, where he was finally transformed into a purely defensive attacker, who dusted the fourth link and who works in the minority. Despite this, he continued to call in the Russian national team – he played both at the Sochi Olympics and at the World Cup, not to mention the World Cup.

Why did he come back? Last season, Kulemin was almost completely missed because of back injury. The contract with the "islanders" has come to an end, the age is already solid, and in his native "Magnitogorsk" he will have a more important role and will be able to recall the taste of the scored goals.

Anton Slepyshev (CSKA), 24 years old

. Slepyshev at the age of 21 decided to try his luck abroad and left the KHL to write it "Edmonton". The first season, he mainly spent in the American League, where he scored 21 points in 49 games, and the following year started in the base. However, it was not possible to gain a foothold in the composition – Slepysheva was sent to the reserve and the farm club, despite the fact that coach Todd McLellan was still talking good Russian and congratulated him. However, some progress have been – in the playoffs – 2017 Anton played 12 games and scored three goals. Last year, and all turned out to be unsuccessful – first Slepyshev injured in the training camp, and then another – in mid-season. He played 51 games and scored 12 points, but did not get a solid spot in the lineup and usually played about 10 minutes. In the winter, they tried to exchange it, but in the end he remained in the team.

Why did he come back? Slepyshev lamented during the season that he has no future in Edmonton, and after the "regular season" he said goodbye to America, then signed a contract with CSKA for two years. By the way, Edmonton retained the rights to Slepyshev, making a contract proposal. There was no question of signing an agreement with another NHL club

Jaroslav Dyblenko (SKA), 24 years old

How he played abroad. Farm Club "New Jersey", with which Dyblenko has not yet signed a contract this summer, is one of the worst teams in the AHL. But even there, "-16" is, to say the least, bad. Yaroslav did not differ in efficiency either, only with penalty minutes.

Why did he come back? Dyblenko was leaving with the intention of making his way to the NHL, but he could not do it and, in May, New Jersey canceled his contract with him. Now he's going to be consistent in the SKA – he's got a four-year deal, but competition in the defense line even after Voinov and Yakovlev's departure will be huge.

Andrei Pedan ("Ak Bars"), 25 years

the ocean. This young global advocate is one of those who played in Russia only for children, after which he went to North America. For eight years, he managed to play in OHL, AHL and ECHL and NHL. In the best league in the world, Pedan played only 13 games – in Vancouver, he was not particularly expected and was eventually traded for "Penguins". In Pittsburgh, Pedan seems to have never been recalled and was never called into the base, although he seemed more than worthy of the 26 points (+17) of the AHL in 52 games to "+19".

Why did he come back? After the end of the contract, Pittsburgh did not offer any qualification offer to Pedan. To vegetate in the AHL, when one is at its best age, it is useless, and Pedan has decided to return to his homeland. "Ak Bars" simply do not have enough supporters.

Sergei Tolchinsky (CSKA), 23 years old

How he played abroad. A small but brilliant CSKA student also tried to break into America through the Junior League of Canada. After the first year at OHL, he, who was not written by anyone, came to the Carolina camp, after which he signed a contract for a newcomer. Two more years he spent in the juniors and became the top scorer of "Su-Sen Mari". I won the money from the MCHM-2015, but when I went to the professional level, I got stuck in the hopeless AHL.

Why did you come back? According to Sergei himself, he was interested in other clubs, but "Carolina" and refused to trade, and did not give a chance in the NHL. In the NHL, he has only spent four games and he was never called in last season. Now he will have to withstand stiff competition for a place in "the army". At least in the KHL he will have a chance.

Sergei Zborovsky ("Sochi"), 21 years old

How he played abroad. The youngest Russians back – in the "Rangers" he spent only one season, and before that, he played for "Regina" for three years. In the season-2016/17 was the best in terms of utility in the regular season (+72) and in the playoffs (+20) and helped his team reach the final WHL

Why did you come back? This year, Zborowski wandered between the AHL and the ECHL, where conditions are even worse than in the second division. In the summer, the Rangers ended his contract with him. He went to Sochi, where they always give a chance to prove themselves to the youth.
