As a precaution, Greenyard recalls 18 products containing frozen peas, beans and parsnips manufactured by its Hungarian subsidiary between August 13, 2016 and June 20, 2018, where a potential contamination at listeria bacteria was found.The booster was decided in coordination with Afsca and the Hungarian food safety agency, says a press release Thursday night. The products concerned are sold under the brands Pinguin, Delhaize, Everyday, BONI & D'Lis, and are sold under the names of products Extra fine peas, very fine peas, fine peas, peas moths, cut green beans, Very fine green peas and baby carrots, 10 vegetables for soup, Minestrone, Summer Vegetable Mix, Fit mix, Seafood Paella with Chicken, Extra Fine Peas and Baby Carrots, Vegetable Mix for Tomato Soup , Nasi Goreng, Bami Goreng, Peasant Mix, BIO peas. Listeria bacteria causes listeriosis that is among the zoonoses – diseases transmitted from animals to humans – the most dangerous. It usually causes fever, vomiting and diarrhea and is treated with antibiotics. Greenyard had already recalled early July frozen vegetables produced between August 13, 2015 and June 20, 2018 in Baja as corn, peas, beans, spinach and sorrel. (Belga)
