Steve Ditko, the co-creator of the popular superhero Spider-Man, died on June 29, at the age of 90, relayed several American media Friday night (local time) In the 1960s, Ditko worked for the famous Marvel Comics publishing house, where he co-created Spider-Man in 1961. Two years later, he came up with the idea of drawing Doctor Strange. He is also the creator of Green Goblin, Lizard, Sandman and Doctor Octopus. In 1966, Ditko slammed Marvel's door, due to misunderstanding with his editor-in-chief Stan Lee. He then collaborated with several other houses, including the rival DC Comics. Steve Ditko was found last week in his apartment in New York, probably dead as a result of cardiac arrest. (Belga)
