After years of procedures, Bouygues Immobilier has finally obtained a green light for its important project launched at Evere, at the corner of the Chaussée de Louvain and Avenue des Communautes. 190 homes and shops will soon come out of the ground.

The opinion of the Consultation Committee of June 21st has enough to grow a sigh of relief to Philippe Cousty, the current head of Bouygues Immobilier Belgium, who had resumed the file to his predecessor. The object of the request was large: to demolish two obsolete office buildings – including the former headquarters of the company Kone (elevators) – to rebuild on the two cadastral parcels concerned two apartment complexes flanked by commercial ground and underground parking with 198 spaces on three levels. Nothing less.

In the end, the favorable unanimous favorable opinion requires especially the decrease of the gauge of one of the two buildings (currently rez + 10) but does not prevent to compensate this loss of volume by an increase of the building located along the Avenue of Communities (currently rez + 12). The facades will also have to be redesigned differently and 5 indoor parking spaces removed.

With retouch now on the drawing table of the architecture firm A2RC, the permit could be issued before the end of the year. Bouygues will then be able to really finalize the marketing of this rich program including 23 studios, 52 apartments 1 room, 89 2 rooms and 26 3 rooms; in total, a virtual contribution of more than 300 inhabitants by 2021.
