19:03 – Arrest warrant for parricide attempt in Namur

An arrest warrant was sought Sunday against a man, born in 1966, suspected of an attempted murder against his mother aged 80 in Namur , said the parquet of Namur. The octogenarian suffers from a disability of at least two months. Saturday evening around 22:00, the man, a notorious alcoholic who has lived with his mother for several years, had abused the drink and attacked his genitor . He gave her many shots, threw flower pots in her direction and also hit her with a poker. The victim suffers from facial injuries and disability for more than two months. The suspect says he does not remember anything, but witnesses testify to the version of the attempted murder. An arrest warrant for attempted parricide was therefore requested against him. (Belga)
