Jeffrey Herlings (KTM) won the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic, 14th of the 20 MXGP World Motocross Championship events, Sunday in Loket. The Dutch championship leader beat his Italian rivals Antonio Cairoli (KTM) and Slovenia's Tim Gajser (Honda). Jeremy Van Horebeek (Yamaha) finished fifth. In both races, Herlings won in front of Cairoli and Gajser. Van Horebeek took fifth place in both races. Fourth and seventh, Clement Desalle (Kawasaki) finished sixth in the Grand Prix. Kevin Strijbos (KTM) is 14th and Julien Lieber (Kawasaki) 19th. With eleven Grand Prix wins this season, Herlings, 633 points, brings to 30 units his lead over Cairoli in the championship. Desalle is third (479), Van Horebeek ninth (312), Lieber 14th (189) and Strijbos (165) 15th. In MX2, the Spaniard Jorge Prado (KTM) made a double blow: winner of the Grand Prix after his second place in the first heat and his success in the second, he takes sole head of the general, he shared with the Latvian Pauls Jonbad (KTM), fourth at Loket. The Dutchman Calvin Vlaanderen (Honda) took second place, ahead of the American Thomas Covington (Husqvarna). Jago Geerts (Yamaha) is ninth and Brent Van Doninck (Husqvarna) fourteenth. In the championship, Prado, 595 points, is leading with 11 points ahead of Jonbad. Geerts (310) is seventh. Van doninck (130) points in sixteenth position. The 15th meeting is scheduled in Belgium with the Grand Prix organized in Lommel on August 5th. (Belga)
