0:34 – Rock Werchter – "The best show so far come from the Red Devils", according to festival-goers

It's not Gorillaz, nor Queens of the Stone Age, nor The Kooks that has delivered the best show at the Rock Werchter festival so far. But the Red Devils in their quarter-finals at the football world cup in Russia. It was in any case the opinion of many supporters after the victory against Brazil. The meeting had indeed been broadcast on a giant screen, allowing an incredible party on the site of the festival. All day Friday in Werchter was placed under the sign of the Red Devils. For example, Air Traffic's Chris Wall had asked the audience in the early afternoon whether a football game should be held in the evening. He then remarked to the crowd that his group was in the unusual situation where it is more stressed than the artists themselves. The music then took over again during The Kooks concert on the main stage. The British band finished it with his songs "Make Me Happy" and "Naive". The following performance, that of the American rapper Russ, on the other hand attracted a lot less people. Most festival-goers decided to follow the Brazil-Belgium match, which the Red Devils won. A real delusion took hold of the scene at the final whistle. Werchter literally exploded with joy! The festival can now really begin. Anderson Paak and The Killers did not have any trouble warming up the atmosphere, which was already hot thanks to De Bruyne, Hazard et al. The music has not been forgotten. While the Belgians led 0-2, The Barn was full of people for Ben Howard's concert. On the main podium, London Grammar, for its part, began its show with a quarter of an hour late. Did not Hannah Reid want to miss the start of the second half? Many people, however, attended this performance. Among them, there were not only English and Dutch, but also Belgians, many of whom were recognizable thanks to the jerseys or colors of the Red Devils they sported. The audience in front of the stage did not overflow so much so football on the big screen attracted the curious. London Grammar kicked off his concert force with "Hey now" and even informed the audience when the score went to 1-2. It might not have been the smartest thing to do, since those who wanted to keep abad of the game were watching it on the big screen.
