30 million people are affected by motion sickness in Europe. Faced with this widespread disease, Citroën has developed an unattractive but probably effective solution.
Nausea, dizziness, fatigue, many symptoms that can appear during a trip, especially when trying to fix a screen or to read. There is not much of a miracle solution to this problem today: sitting in front of a car, opening windows, or swallowing drugs that control the symptoms.
Vacation often rhymes with long trips, by car, train, bus, boat or even plane. The motion sickness will affect one in three people who will use these means of transport, a disease that is due " to a difference in perception between sight and balance ," says Antoine Jeannin, co-founder of the boarding ring start-up
The solution envisaged by Citroën? Glbades that restore harmony between sight and balance. The French company has therefore teamed up with Boarding Ring to develop the "Seetroën". These glbades consist of 4 rings, two of which are in front of the eyes and two others are lateral. Inside these rings, a blue fluid moves frontal – left and right – and sagittal – front and back – to recreate a false horizon perceived by our eyes.
To guard against motion sickness, it just put them on for about ten minutes as soon as the first symptoms appear. According to Citroën, this method would be effective in 95% of cases. It will cost 99 € to afford these glbades which, if they really work, are incompatible with a real pair of glbades and clearly do not look very bady.
