Obourg: accident in the E19 construction zone

This Monday afternoon around 16h30 an accident occurred on the E19 motorway, up to Obourg in the direction Valenciennes-Mons. It was at the very beginning of the construction site, in full shrinkage, that it took place. For several weeks, traveling on this stretch of highway is particularly difficult as the slowdowns are significant. At this rush hour, a motorist seems not to have managed to brake. The federal police confirms that one vehicle collided with three others.

The relief obviously came quickly. The police secured the scene while the firefighters had to extricate a victim. The latter, seriously injured, was rushed to the hospital for proper care. The other occupants of the damaged cars did not need support. One person complained of feeling oppressed but did not want to go to the hospital.

For now, troubleshooting is still in progress. Traffic is only established on one lane. As much to write that the pbadage is difficult and that one must be armed with patience, in addition to the prudence, rigor in such circumstances.
