The group IC Eghezée has just presented its list of 25 candidates to take the group to a third executive term in a row. Since 2006 and his return to power the balance sheet of the group is attractive: "it allows us to hope for the gain of one or two seats at the end of October" notes Olivier Moinnet.
The list includes 13 men and 12 women, 4 young people under 22 but also candidates from all generations and all villages of the entity. The average age of the list is 44 years old. Roland GILOT, top of the list in 2012 and outgoing alderman is no longer represented. Véronique Petit-Lambin, alderman of education, will occupy the first place ahead of Olivier Moinnet, alderman of finance and environment. They are followed by two outgoing councilors, Véronique Vercoutere and Frédéric Rouxhet while Walloon MP Isabelle Moinnet-Joiret will support the list in 23rd place. It is an opening list with very many candidates without any political affiliation, even if the key figures are clearly centrist.
"We have never imposed any political line on our candidates, each comes with his ideas. This brings a real freshness in the exchanges and in the creation of the program. At the municipal level, the old political pillars are totally out of date anyway, "explains Olivier Moinnet. "The IC group has made a difference since coming to power. We could see them lead many files and when we read the program 2018, we realize that the group has not finished yet to surprise "says Walloon MP Isabelle Moinnet adds:" In a society that pbades the Most of his energy in criticizing the political representatives, I hope at least in Eghezée, voters will be keen to recognize the quality of the work done by the group IC and the seriousness of their approach. Local political groups with 70 program pages and 200 proposals are still not visible every day. "
