The application cleans up old episodes and automatically downloads new ones
In an update released earlier this week, the streaming Netflix video has deployed a feature called "Smart Downloads ". Since November 2016, the American company has been able to download content to watch it offline. Here, Netflix goes a step further to make your life easier.
The operation is quite simple: once you have finished an episode of your favorite series, the application automatically removes from the phone memory the episodes seen and is busy downloading the following episodes. Convenient to continue to binge-watcher "The Casa de Papel" or "13 Reasons Why" (if not already done!).
But it's not yet for everyone …
However, there are two constraints: having a device running on Android and being connected to a Wi-Fi network. For now, Netflix has not yet announced availability of this feature on iOS. [19659003] Smart Downloads can be disabled in the application settings if you want to keep episodes in the phone memory for later review. As for the competition, it seems that Amazon Prime Video does not allow for the moment to clean its library automatically.
