Like Shuhei Yoshida and Jade Raymond, the Hangar 13 team this week traveled to Brighton, England to participate Develop Conference 2018. During the conference in which they participated, the representatives of the studio spoke about their next title.
Even if they confirmed that they still own the Mafia license, they do not wish to content to make solo games in open mode rptition. Their current project, which has not been announced yet, is a brand new license. According to Haden Blackman, the head of the studio, the team wanted to work on a more positive thematic game (about relays by GamesIndustry):
Many of us in the team wanted to do something a little more ambitious and ultimately a little more inspiring. The tone of the new game we are working on is a little different from that of Mafia III. But it still has a number of similarities in terms of strong characters. History has weight. And it is mature, not necessarily in terms of clbadification but in terms of themes.
According to the first rumors about this new title, it would be a question of a play of superheroes playable in cooperation. note that the super hero of the game is an indite creation of the studio, not a hero shooting a license known.
