US study shows iPhone users have a higher than average standard of living

A study by the University of Chicago and the US National Bureau of Economic Research concludes that iPhone is an indicator that puts phone owners in a higher tax bracket than the average. The badyzed data, which date from 2016, allow to conclude that no mark is as "predictive" as the Apple iPhone.

According to economists, a person with an iPhone has a higher income than the other 70% of the time. This means that in the United States, possession of a phone headed will place the person in the top quartile of income for various groups of households. However, we must consider that the data studied are prior to the release of the iPhone X launched in November 2017.

Among the significant results, we note that the owners of iPad or Android phone are respectively 66.9% and 59.5% more likely to have a high income. Someone who uses the Verizon operator, for example, will have a higher than average income in 61% of cases.

The study explains how mobile technology has affected Americans: in 2004, the best indicator of income high was the brand Land O'Lakes butter, while in 1992, the best predictive brands were the Gray Poupon mustard and Kodak films.
