Do you think that drinking fruit juice is better than drinking a soda? In principle yes, but beware of industrial products. The magazine "60 million consumers" was interested in different bottles of major brands.
In some countries, the doses of sugar exceed the recommendations of the World Health Organization.
Juice not really innocent
Juices, vegetables and other smoothies give the impression of being healthy products and nutritionally interesting by their intake of vitamins. But these are processed products with sometimes additives additives.
In these drinks, sugar may be present in three forms sucrose, fructose or glucose. For example, the magazine cites Innocent's smoothie, an "anti-oxidant" juice made from lime and flaxseed. There are 27.5 grams of sugar in a glbad of 25 centilitres. The World Health Organization, however, recommends limiting sugar consumption to 25 grams per day. For comparison, the famous Coca-Cola contains one gram of sugar less (26.5 g).
Fruits often problematic
In this type of drink, the choice of fruits is problematic, they are often very caloric like bananas or grapes. The comparison with sodas is even more striking for Joker's grapefruit juice, which contains 50% more sugar than Schweppes Agrum '.
As for the flavored waters, they too are too rich in sugar: the Evian raspberry verbena contains the equivalent of 3.5 pieces of sugar. For vegetable juices, salt is the problem: the vegetable badtail called V8, Campbell's brand contains 1.6 g of salt to 340 ml, this corresponds to the amount of salt found in 100 g chips.
Privilege the homemade juices
To avoid unpleasant surprises, you must read the labels and verify that the juice purchased is a "pure juice" without added product and not a juice based of concentrate. The consumption of these juices should be perceived as a pleasure because to drink a glbad does not return at all to eat a fruit. On the contrary, a juice loses all the fibers that the fruit contains. In any case, do not exceed 20 cl per day.
