More heliport compliant in our hospitals for the CMH, since Malmedy lost its approval

The non-profit organization Medical Center Héliporté de Bra-sur-Lienne (Lierneux) draws an alarming report on the number of hospital landing sites recognized by the Aeronautics Administration and on which its medical helicopter is authorized to land during the transport of rescued patients as part of a mission to urgent medical aid

Indeed, in the provinces of Liège, Luxembourg and Namur, only seven hospitals are compliant to receive the helicopter from the CMH. To know: the Sart-Tilman University Hospital (Liège), the La Citadelle Hospital (Liège), the CHC Clinic of Hope in Montegnée (Liège), the Clinique Saint-Luc in Bouge (Namur), the CHR Mont-Godinne Hospital (Namur), the Princess Paola Hospital in Marche-en-Famenne (Luxembourg) and the Saint Joseph Clinic in Arlon (Luxembourg).

The district of Verviers is therefore quite lacking. "
                     In a few months, some hospitals lost their approval because they did not decide to bring their landing site into compliance. The most recent cases are the hospitals of Malmedy and Saint-Vith, in the province of Liège
                    ", Says the non-profit organization CMH. A situation that hangs in the face of different hospitals if they do not take the right decisions quickly.

                     This regression marks the risk of a loss of efficiency and time in the care of a patient, particularly in rural areas where the hospital density is already lower than in urban areas

                     It should be noted that this issue concerns hospitals in which patients are transported or transferred. As part of an emergency medical badistance mission, the CMH helicopter is always authorized to land near the patient, on a primary mission or during a requisition for an urgent inter-hospital transfer .
