Jonathan Borlée on 400m and Louise Carton on 5.000m won their qualification for the Athletics Euro in Berlin (August 7th to 12th), Saturday, on the occasion of the Athletics Night in Heusden -Zolder

Jonathan Borlée won the 400m in 45.57. The qualifying time is 45.89. Borlée won in front of his brother Kevin (45.67) and the Dutchman Liemarvin Bonevacia (45.86). Dylan Borlée was fourth in 46.04

Borlée had to delay his start to the season due to an elbow injury. He had thus lined up on 200m at the Belgian championships, where his brothers Kevin and Dylan and the young Alexander Doom had achieved the minima.

Louis Carton ran the 5,000m in 15: 33.25, more than three seconds under the time limit, set at 15: 36.42. Carton placed 17th in a race dominated by Shelby Houlihan of the United States with a US record of 14: 34.45.

Fifth in the 100m hurdles in 13.37, Anne Zagré did not succeed the time of Qualification (13.12)

Belgian athletes have until July 30 to qualify for Berlin. Borlée and Carton bring to 36 the number of Belgian athletes who have achieved a minimum.
