The ozone concentrations were still high Thursday in Belgium, but the alert threshold of 240 micrograms per cubic meter (μg / m3) n has been exceeded nowhere, according to data from the Interregional Environment Unit (Celine)

Twenty measuring stations recorded concentrations above the information threshold (180 micrograms per cubic meter). The highest concentration of 230 micrograms was notified to Berendrecht (Antwerp) at 17h

As soon as a level of 150 micrograms per cubic meter is reached over a period of eight hours, a person who performs an exercise outside physics sees its respiratory functions reduced by 5%. At 250 micrograms, the decrease can be up to 15%.

It is therefore recommended to sensitive people (children, elderly …) to avoid physical exertion outdoors between noon and 22:00 and to stay inside, where the concentrations are on average reduced by half.
