Hungarian GP: Vettel still fastest in recent free practice

Germany's Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) set the fastest time of the 3rd free practice session of the Hungarian Grand Prix, 12th round of the Formula 1 World Championship, on Saturday at the Hungaroring circuit (4,381 km) in Budapest

His time of 1 min 16 sec 170/1000, a new track record, places him who was already the fastest on Friday 59/1000 ahead of Finland's Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) and 203/1000 of his Finnish team-mate. also Kimi Räikkönen

The World Championship leader, the Briton Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), follows at 579/1000.

He and Bottas are out at the chicane (turns 6 and 7), the Finn coming to touch the barriers.

The Red Bull, very much in view the day before, close the march of the "top teams", with the Australian Daniel Ricciardo to 633/1000 and the Dutchman Max Verstappen to 776/1000.

The Renault are the "best of the rest", with the Spaniard Carlos Sainz Jr 1 sec 584/1000 and the A German Nico Hulkenberg at 1 sec 913/1000.

The midfielder, however, appears very close with the Haas of Frenchman Romain Grosjean (9th) and Kevin Magnussen of Denmark (11th) and the Toro Rosso of Frenchman Pierre Gasly (10th) and New Zealander Brendon Hartley (12th) in less than 2/10.
