In its very recent financial report, Sony has just released the new sales scores of its popular PS4 and force is to note that the Japanese giant is on a definitively convincing momentum. It's no secret that the PlayStation is the big commercial winner of this generation, and the machine has just exceeded the milestone of … 82.2 million copies sold. Simply impressive! In five years of marketing, the PS4 is so far ahead of an Xbox One that struggles to graze the 40 million copies distributed.

That said, Sony will probably struggle to exceed the absolute record of the video game held by the PS2 (157 million sales), finally installed on the throne, but will certainly catch up to 86.9 million PS3: indeed, the Japanese company has announced the goal of 96 million sales of PS4 before the end of the fiscal year!
