A big fire broke out shortly before 5 pm in a shed and a house on rue de Stembert in Verviers. Firefighters in the VHP area deployed and requested reinforcements on site. The relief is currently without news of the owners of the place.
A thick black smoke is visible for miles around. And for good reason, a violent fire devastates for about 17 hours, a warehouse of furniture of the street of Stembert, with Verviers.
The zone of relief Vesdre, Hoëgne and Plateau immediately went on the spot towards 17 hours and reinforcements were en route (a second tank and a second ladder). The CHR PIT was also sent on site. It may be that the owners of the shed in question were inside when the fire took hold.
