From Friday, July 13, additional measures will be implemented on the rehabilitation site of the E411 / A4 between Daussoulx and Beez to improve traffic conditions.

Following the concerns As a result of the mobility of this project, new consultations were organized and resulted in additional measures to better distribute traffic flows and thus limit the slowdowns. These measures will only concern the tracks to Luxembourg on which the work will be concentrated as of Friday, 13 July:

  • the heavy goods vehicles will be allowed to take the leftmost lane.
  • a third lane (the band of emergency stop) can be taken on a part of the site, between Daussoulx and the deceleration band of Bouge, for users wishing to gain one of the exits towards Namur (Champion, Bouge).

Reminder [19659002WorkwascompletedafewdaysagoontheroadstoBrusselsTherehabilitationofthetrackstowardsLuxembourgwillbeginthisFridayJuly13whichwillmodifythetrafficconditionsThechangeovertothisconstructionphasetakesplacethisweekatnight:

  • From Monday, July 9 to Thursday, July 12, only nights (from 8pm to 5am):
    • The circulation is reduced to a single lane in each direction. This work is done during the week to avoid the maximum impact on departures on holidays which mainly take place on weekends.
  • From Monday, July 9 to Thursday, July 12 during the day:
    • two lanes of traffic are maintained in each direction
  • From Friday, July 13 at 6 am and until the end of the construction:
    • To Brussels: two lanes of traffic will be maintained on the renovated lanes with a speed limited to 90 km / h.
    • To Luxembourg: two lanes will be maintained along the entire length of the yard and a third lane (the strip emergency stop) will be accessible on part of the area – between Daussoulx and the Bouge deceleration strip – for users who wish to gain one of the exits towards Namur (Champion, Bouge). The speed will be limited to 70 km / h

Bouge and Champion heat exchangers must also be closed successively in this direction. The exact dates of these closures will be communicated later.

Concretely, this work will enable:

  • The rehabilitation of the pavement of more than 7 km of highway, in both directions of circulation, between Daussoulx and Beez (including the Beez Viaduct);
  • Rehabilitation of the interchange of Champion (No. 13) and Bouge (No. 14) interchanges;
  • Replacement of guardrails throughout the section;
  • The repair of the Daussoulx interchange bridge supporting the E411 / A4
  • Concrete repairs under the Bouge interchange bridge
  • The final development of the roundabout at the exit from the Bouge interchange to Luxembourg

The speeding up of the site, through the use of increased night work and continuous service on weekends and during school holidays, will free up all the traffic lanes of one month before the announced initial deadline, in the course of September. The shortening of deadlines will obviously have no impact on the quality of the achievement.
