A choice justified by General Mykola Tchichotkin, Director of the Airbus Service. Ukrainian state, emergency situations: " Much of our helicopter fleet depends on suppliers from the Russian Federation. So we decided to initiate a work with Airbus and with France, in order to provide all our departments, such as the State Emergency Service, the Ukrainian National Guard, the National Police and the Guard Service -frontières.
The Ukrainian state has already allocated 32 million euros for the purchase of these helicopters, whose Ukrainian pilots will be trained in a maintenance center not far from Kiev. An aspect of the agreement that Bruno Even, CEO of Airbus Helicopters, insists. " Beyond helicopter delivery, what we want to put in place is cooperation in the area of operations support. Therefore it is with this in mind that we put in place training and simulation maintenance capabilities that will contribute to the success and development of skills in Ukraine.
The first Super Puma will be delivered before the end of the year, but the signatories badure it, they are in no way intended to intervene on military grounds.
