The French manufacturer Alstom announced Wednesday that it has won a 15-year contract for the maintenance of the Sydney Metro Northwest project in the capital Australian, without indicating an amount.
The French group will take over "the maintenance of 22 trains of six Metropolis cars", the first fully automated pbadenger trains in Australia, as well as signaling and switching systems, and "operation and maintenance deposit and cleaning trains, "says Alstom in a statement.
The amount of the contract has not been disclosed

Alstom is the world leader in integrated metro systems (for which the group sells the complete system), with 20 projects won in 16 countries, including in Hanoi, Montreal, Singapore and Riyadh
The Alstom teams should be mobilized by mid-2018, with the project to be completed in the first half of 2019.
