Apple repairs devices damaged by floods in Japan free of charge

Apple has announced that it will fully support the repair of any device that may have been damaged during the heavy rains in July in Japan.

The repair concerns all Apple products: Mac, iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, iPod Touch or Thunderbolt screen damaged during the torrential rains suffered by Japan in July. The only condition is that the product in question can be effectively repaired.

The affected customers can contact the Apple service in Japan until the end of September, according to Mac Otakara. The firm will repair any damaged product and return it to the customer at no cost. Nevertheless, delays may vary and some delays may occur as part of the delivery services are suspended in some areas because of the damage caused by the disaster.

As a reminder, Japan registered at the beginning of July record rains in the west of the country have caused floods and landslides that have ravaged many buildings and left hundreds dead and many missing.
