Audi tease the PB18 e-tron, an electric supercar that will be presented late August.

Audi is about to hit the road with the Quattro e-tron in September, its first 100% electric SUV. Meanwhile, the German manufacturer is already beginning to make us dream with another of his projects, a supercar that is currently known as the Audi PB18 e-tron.

The subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group did not did not expand on the details of his future car in his press release, only to specify that it would be unveiled on August 23, 2018, at 17 hours, on the legendary circuit Laguna Seca at Pebble Beach Car Week. It is also from this event that the car gets its name since PB refers directly to Pebble Beach while the 18 refers to the year of its presentation.

Audi seems to have particularly worked on the design of its supercar, arguing that the design of his prototype, developed in his Malibu Design Loft, will serve " case study for sports cars of the future ".

Recall that the PB18 e-tron n ' is not really Audi's first electric supercar. The manufacturer had already proposed an electric version of its R8 in 2009. It could travel up to 450 km on a single charge and go from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.9 seconds. Its very high price (six times higher than that of the thermal R8) however would not have allowed the German-speaking manufacturer to sell over a hundred over its two years of production.
