Beer river and mountain of noodles for Dour festival-goers

Fifty thousand people each day, it's as many mouths to feed (and as many thirsts to quench). The Colruyt supermarket located near the center of Dour, along the road to Wallonia, has understood. No more time, about ten years ago, when the store closed its doors during the festival under the pretext of encodings! He is now working hand in hand with the directors of the Dour Festival. There are even bus shuttles between the festival and the supermarket …

«
The festival is much further this year from our store notes Christophe Dehandschutter, national sales manager at Colruyt. So we had contacts with officials of the Dour festival. Installing a full store for five days would have been impossible. Finally we opted for two things. First install a small basic shop on the site and then organize a shuttle bus between the campsite and our Colruyt. You should know that normally our Dour store receives an average of a thousand people every day. Last year, we evaluated 10,000 festival-goers every day! We have strengthened our teams for these four days and we present in the store the products they want first: Cara pils, sandwiches, noodles, fruit, tabouleh … And it works! By the way, look at the lines, both to enter the store and return to the site with their food!

In the supermarket parking lot, we asked three festivalgoers what they spend on food and beverages during the five days. "
This is my first Dour Festival says 19-year-old Bas Hack from Hbadelt. I planned a budget of € 250 for the festival, or € 50 per day. Now, if I know how to spend less … No problem!

21-year-old Lucas Verhaegen from Verviers has expected the same budget, but he already has doubts … "
I have 250 € for this festival but I realize by shopping that it will be difficult to keep this budget. We are three and look at what we got for 200 €. And on the site, it's worse.
Finally, Joelle Klbaden, 19, from Verviers, is also at her first Dour. "
I have 200 € and it will be very hard! I buy a lot of Cara pils, water and noodles.
