Police continue to control but do not report major events

On this fourth day of Dour Festival, the Hauts-Pays police zone continues its controls, in collaboration with the boraine police zone and customs. This Saturday, there are 50,000 festival-goers who are present on the site of wind turbines. Despite this strong attendance, no major problem is to report.

The police announce that three administrative arrests were made while none was necessary during the night. In the last 24 hours, 1000 Red Cross interventions were required. The heat, the consumption of alcohol and the enthusiasm prevailing on the plain probably do not help in this matter.

On the control side, the Boraine Police Zone, which operates on the neighboring roads of the site, intercepted 162 vehicles. 25 VPs for driving under the influence were drawn while 300 grams of narcotics and 350 euros were seized. 13,000 euros could also be recovered by the tax department. 13 PVs were drafted by the customs services. Let's note two more particular seizures: the first concerns 150 grams of cannabis chocolate, the second a truck loaded with alcohol.

Finally, the police zone communicates on an intervention conducted last Monday, before the festival so, on the side of Quiévrain. The Investigations and Research Service arrested two people suspected of being involved in a deal and seized 255 grams of narcotics, two precision balances, 815 euros, two mobile phones, two cars, a motorcycle and electronic equipment.
