Audi has postponed the date of presentation of its first 100% electric model, the teasing campaign around the model continues. The German manufacturer has just broadcast the first photos of the interior of the vehicle.

We discover so a badpit lines marked and visibly upscale with leather upholstery, stitching, chrome keys, combined digital instrumentation ( Audi virtual badpit) and large central screen. The brand with four rings also announces a generous space thanks to a wheelbase of almost 2.93 m and a soundproofing of the first order. A Bang & Olufsen 3D audio system with 16 speakers will be offered as an option.

The Audi e-tron does not need mirrors

But the main novelty lies in the mirrors. For the first time on an Audi series, these have … disappeared! They give way to virtual exterior mirrors. Equipped with small cameras, they film the vehicle environment and render captured images on 7-inch OLED screens located in the corners, between the dashboard and the front right and left doors. From the MMI multimedia system, the driver can choose between three different views depending on driving conditions: on the highway, corner and for parking.

The reservations are open!

For the rest, Audi has already announced that the SUV will be equipped with 95 kWh lithium-ion batteries that will be housed under the floor. It can be recharged at 80% in less than 30 minutes on a fast charging station and will claim a range of 400 km (WLTP cycle). Based on the 2015 e-tron quattro concept (three electric engines for 435 hp), it will also accommodate five pbadengers and will be equipped with the quattro all-wheel drive. Its commercialization will take place at the end of the year but the bookings are already open!
