This is the one of the largest mergers in the history of entertainment, which took place for $ 71.3 billion. The agreement was announced last December and the realization of the deal would take a few months. This Friday, an overwhelming majority (99%) approved the deal.
The Fox gives away its entertainment-related business (as well as its independence) to Disney which will now be able to enjoy franchises such as X-Men, Deadpool, Avatar , Alien The Planet of the Apes, etc.
