The stars have amazed earthlings since the dawn of time. And this did not escape the Japanese start-up ALE. The latter plans to dazzle the inhabitants of Hiroshima in the spring of 2020 by organizing a shower of artificial shooting stars over the Japanese city. A communication operation aimed at attracting potential customers around the world. But how is such a prodigy possible?
The Japanese company has already designed two microsatellites that it intends to place in orbit in 2019. Once done, they can launch small balls. Which will break up when they enter the atmosphere. Enough to project a bright and brief light into the sky, like shooting stars.
This magical event could be the first in a long line. "We are targeting the whole world, since our shooting stars stockpile will be in space and can be distributed everywhere", badures the presidency of ALE.
