Today, Fujifilm unveils a new expert compact: the XF10 . On the program, a "very large" APS-C sensor and a good focal length wide angle equivalent to a 28 mm and opening at f / 2.8. This new camera joins the X100F in the category of compact cameras with fixed lenses
A few weeks before the official opening of the Photokina, Fujifilm begins to put pressure with the launch of a very attractive compact expert. Expert? In fact, no, not really. Its positioning is more public, but clearly very upscale. The idea is to put down the image quality produced by smartphones. With a sensor APS-C, there is little doubt on this point!
This camera has a nice retro look dear to Fujifilm, sober, sleek and elegant. It will be available in two colors (black and champagne). Very few buttons are present on the Fujifilm XF10, either on the top or on the back side. On the top, there is a switch, a shutter release, a thumbwheel shooting modes and two adjustment knobs. Note that this device is devoid of accessory shoe and electronic viewfinder. At the back, we find a few buttons, a joystick and a large 3-inch touch screen with a definition of over a million points. This device is naturally connected and embeds Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. On the side, measure less than 280 g on the scale for 4 cm thick, 6.5 cm high and 11.2 cm wide.
As for performance, there is a sensor CMOS in 24-megapixel APS-C format. Combined with the device's processing processor, it can scale up to 51,200 ISO and 6 fps burst. This optic consists of 7 lenses divided into 5 groups including 2 molded aspherical lenses. Regarding the video, there is a recording mode in 4K 15p. Note that there is no way to slow down. For the rest, we obviously observe the presence of the iconic filters of the brand or a digital zoom to simulate 35 and 50 mm equivalents.
Price and availability
The new Fujifilm XF10 should be available from the month August. On the other side of the Atlantic, it will be sold for less than $ 500. We still do not know the selling price for France
